Do you only work with churches and nonprofit organizations?

Yes. We are passionate about helping churches grow, especially at a time when church attendance is in decline. We believe that digital marketing can be used effectively to reach the very demographic that is moving away from the church.

We also work with nonprofit clients because, through our own volunteer work, we have seen the an incredible need for at-risk populations. Through our digital marketing expertise, we can help nonprofits reach and engage their target audience to increase donations and volunteerism. 

I’m new to this whole website thing, how does it work?

How much does a website cost?

The cost of a website can vary greatly depending on many factors, just like the cost of a home or automobile varies. A website is not expensive, considering it is a key asset in growing your organization and engaging your target audience. The total investment will depend upon your specific needs. It is very possible, if you already have a website, that you may only need some content optimization or a better online strategy to significant increase your online visibility and engagement.

How long does it take to design and build a website?

The time it takes to produce a new website depends on the size and complexity of the site and the quality of content that you already have ready to go. A typical new website project takes 3-5 weeks from start to delivery. 

Do I need my own domain name and web hosting?

Yes you do! We can help you get this set up and work with your existing hosting company or registrar. We are not a web hosting company but partner with one of the best premium hosting providers, which allows us to offer a great solution at a very sensible price point.

Will my website work on mobile devices?

Most definitely! All the websites we design are responsive and work on all devices and form factors.

Can I monitor progress during the development of my site?

Yes. In most cases, we will provide a private address (link) for you to access the site development in progress.

Do you develop e-commerce/online store websites?

We sure do! Our preferred platform is WooCommerce because it integrates seamlessly with WordPress, but we can usually work with your existing platform if you have one. Other popular platforms of choice include Shopify and Magento.

Do you use a specific technology for website development?

While we use a broad technology stack including various design and research tools, all of our websites are built on the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). WordPress powers nearly half of all websites and we find it to be the most flexible platform and the one that offers the best performance.

What is a Content Management System (CMS)?

A Content Management System is a platform that allows you to maintain the pages of your website with little or no technical skills. A CMS allows you to edit and add pages, images, products or blog entries to your website. No additional software is required – all you need is a web browser and an internet connection. We work exclusively with the WordPress CMS.

Do you provide training?

Yes, we provide our clients with training and we can integrate onboard training manuals right into your website dashboard as needed.

Can you help me with Social Media and Email Marketing?

Yes, of course. As part of your project, we can include ongoing social media and email marketing services as part of our support and maintenance plan.

What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Search Engine Optimization is all about getting your website to rank higher in search results on search engines like Google. The higher you rank the more visitor traffic and engagement you’re likely to get.

There are many aspects that go into achieving great SEO, and one of the most important is the content (words) on your website. We offer SEO services for churches and nonprofits, including keyword/phrase research so that your site will be optimized for Google and other search engines.

Can you design my logo?

We focus on what we’re good at — designing websites and digital marketing solutions. We do some logo and marketing collateral design, but we also partner with several graphic designers who specialize in that type of content and work with them closely during the course of your project.

Can you create content for my website?

The short answer is yes. There are a few different types of content. We will create the initial content for your site pages as well as transfer any applicable existing content. We can work with you through our care plan to help with ongoing content creation, which is an important factor in making your website engaging and awesome.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is your address on the internet. Typically, this would be something like yourcompany.com

What is web hosting?

Web hosting is a service that allows your website to be viewed on the Internet. It’s basically a computer housed in a data center that stores and runs your website, email, etc.

Can you create photo and video content for my website?

We have access to a large amount of stock photo and video content but do not specialize in photography or videography. We work closely with trusted partners who can help you create commercial-grade photo and video content for your organization, brand, and website as needed. 

What is a landing page?

In short, a landing page is just a web page that you want visitors to land on. It is usually optimized for a specific topic so Google will make it available to a target audience.

Landing pages are often designed specifically to attract an audience with content that interests them or answers to a specific question. In many cases landing pages may have a slightly different design than the core content on your website — i.e., may not contain the same menu navigation, header and footer elements. But, good landing pages carry your brand through the design and always have breadcrumbs that lead a visitor back to your organization’s main website. This is usually accomplished through a specific call-to-action.

What is a call-to-action?

A call-to-action is simply an element, usually a button of some kind, with a directive to the user: i.e. click here to get our free book, or click here to contact us or shop now. Call-to-action is an important element of any website design. Without CTA, you will never engage your website visitor to take additional steps. Here is an exhaustive list of call-to-action examples.

What is Google My Business?

Google My Business is the platform used by Google as an information portal for your organization. Your GMB profile should include all the pertinent information about your church or nonprofit, including address, phone numbers, contact info, and relevant images. You can read more about setting up GMB here. This is the first thing you should take care of when making any effort to improve your local search visibility.

What Is Local SEO?

Unlike typical search engine optimization (SEO), Local SEO or local search optimization is the effort to optimize your organization for proximity and local search results. For example, if someone searches Google for churches near me or nonprofits in mycity, effective local search optimization will make your church or nonprofit rank higher in those results.
